RemoteFS is a local file server for Android. It lets you share files between your own devices over your own local network (e.g. Wi-Fi).
RemoteFS does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or to any third party. The app has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no backend servers.
RemoteFS reads and writes files on your device in order to serve them to clients you connect over your local network. Files are accessed only on your device and are transferred only over your own local network to clients that authenticate with your encryption key. Files are never uploaded to the developer or to any external server.
RemoteFS requests the "All files access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) permission solely to read and serve the files you choose to share. This permission is used for no other purpose. No file contents are collected, uploaded, or shared outside your own devices and local network.
RemoteFS opens a listening socket on your device so your other devices can connect. It reads your device's local IP address only to display it in the app's settings screen; this information is not transmitted anywhere.
Because RemoteFS collects no data, there is no user data to retain or delete. Uninstalling the app removes all app data and settings.
